Welcome to Counselling West Bridgford
Sometimes it can be helpful to talk to someone, other than those you know, about what you are thinking and how you are feeling.
If you feel anxious, sad, or depressed, if you’re grieving, dealing with trauma, anger, worry or self-esteem, struggling with relationships, not sure where life is taking you, or considering new opportunities, I can help.
My name is Michelle, and I provide confidential, non-judgmental, one-to-one counselling, psychotherapy and coaching for adults, from my base in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
Let’s get started
I offer telephone, video and in-person counselling, with appointments including week day evenings and weekends, and you can book online.
I’m available for regular or one-off appointments. My UKCP-accreditation, means you can have peace of mind that I’m qualified to the highest level, and you’ll be safe.
The covid-safety measures remain in place for now so you can be reassured appropriate precautions are being taken.
Why not try a free, 10-minute consultation to see if it’s for you?
Appointments
In person
In-person appointments are the traditional way to go for counselling. Subject to government pandemic restrictions.
60 minutes
At Counselling West Bridgford, an hour means 60 minutes. We have extended turnaround time which means we can offer the full hour, rather than the “50-minute hour” which is so often the case.
Can be regular, one off or intermittent.
Telephone
Designed as a more affordable product, and for clients that struggle to get to our counselling room. And some clients prefer the anonymity of telephone work.
Employers often choose this product to support their team.
45 minutes
Your therapist calls at the appointment time, on an agreed telephone number.
Can be regular, one-off or intermittent.
Video
Designed for clients who find it difficult to attend in person, and prefer to see their therapist | be seen on screen.
60 minutes
Delivered via Microsoft Teams, your therapist sets up the meeting and ‘let’s you in’ at the appointment time.
Can be regular, one-off or intermittent.
Single Session
90 minutes
Designed for “once, or once in a while“, where you have a specific issue to discuss.
Intended to be in-person.
Nottingham Trent University Psychology student, Jess Taylor, interviewed me about the myths and misconceptions around counselling and psychotherapy.
